I am running to be your Congressman to offer an escape from the tired old ways of doing politics. If elected, I will fight every day for you and reach across the aisle to get things done in Washington with the help of Republicans who are focused on solutions. Partisan politics keep us mired in the past; the future demands that we work together to address our greatest challenges. That’s why I am committed to building bridges, not walls.
My business experience has taught me that aligning interests is the best way to achieve our common goals. If elected, I will make your most important personal interests my personal interests. I will turn down any pay raises until our economy is working again for Iowans, and I will reject Congressional health care coverage until sensible reform that works for the people of this district has been achieved.
To further ensure I am representing your interests, I am dedicated to maintaining an open dialogue with you. If elected, I will hold listening sessions in each of the 32 counties of the 5th District at least once a year.
